THE EVENT
Sunset Party is a free beach party at Gradakia Beach Bar in Lassi, Kefalonia on Friday 14 August 2026, from 18:30 to 23:30. London DJ Hype Hyphen plays UK bass, dancehall, house and garage straight through sunset, around 20:26. Entry is free, no reservation needed. Tables with bottle service are available on request.

Is there parking?
Yes, there is plenty of parking at the beach.
How do I get there from Argostoli?
It’s walkable from Argostoli, roughly 2 km along the coast. Local buses also run to Lassi, and a taxi takes only a few minutes.
Is it family friendly?
Yes. It’s a beach party at sunset and families are welcome.
Is there food?
Yes. Gradakia Beach Bar serves food through the evening, alongside the bar.
Can I swim?
Yes. You’re on the beach and the sea is right there, and plenty of people swim before the sun goes down.
What should I wear?
Dress for the beach, but make it good. You’re on sand all evening, so keep it comfortable, but this is still a night to look sharp.
What happens if the weather turns?
The party goes ahead. Gradakia has sheltered areas, so a change in the weather isn’t a problem.
What time does it start and end?
Doors open at 18:15. The first set starts at 18:30, the night set at 21:00, and the last track plays at 23:30.

What else is on in Kefalonia that weekend?
Sunset Party falls on the eve of Dekapentavgoustos, 15 August, the Dormition of the Virgin Mary and the biggest holiday of the Greek summer. On the 15th, villages across Kefalonia hold their panigiria: long tables, live music and food late into the night. The island’s best-known tradition is the appearance of the harmless snakes of the Virgin at the church of Panagia Lagouvarda in Markopoulo, in the days leading up to the feast. So the 14th is the night before all of it. Come to the beach for sunset, and you still have the whole weekend on the island ahead of you.
